Fran Paul is a healer of many stripes.  Herbalism, energy healing, ancestral medicine, social work, and psychology.  These threads are woven together throughout her decades of training and practice supporting the physical, mental, and spiritual health and wellbeing of those she works with.

Growing up in Gloucestershire, England, Fran has a strong kinship with the more-than-human world.  Since 1976, Fran has had her heart and hands in the green world, working alongside the plants to heal. In 1999 she received her Diploma of Social Work (the UK equivalent of MSW). The early 2010's she pursued training in Reiki, as well as crystal healing. 

 

She carried these gifts with her to the Virginia Blue Ridge, where she began formal Herbalist training and opened an herbal medicine business (Herbal Hedge Witch). Under the tutelage of Kat Maier, Fran completed a 3-year training in Clinical Herbalism from the Sacred Plant Traditions School of Herbalism in 2016. She has also studied alongside other well-known herbalists including Rosemary Gladstar, Matthew Wood, Margi Flint, and Jim Macdonald.

Fran lives at Arcadia Sanctuary, an intentional community, located in the mountains of Amherst, Virginia.
